Fluoride in Irish Water

Fluoride Poison

Hexaflourosilicic acid is a toxic & corrosive industrial waste by-product derived from the scrubbings of the factory chimneys of the super-phosphate fertiliser industry. Carahealth have been specialising in fluirde removal since 2008.

Hexaflourosilicic acid - Is not a pure compound of medical quality but is itself contaminated with other poisons such as arsenic and cancer-causing heavy metals like cadmium and even mercury.

Fluoride in Ireland

Jan Battles, from the Times on Sunday Ireland, reported that a new study showed the levels of dental erosion in children in areas with fluoridated water was similar to that of children in areas with no fluoride. This study showed that five-year-olds living in fluoridated areas of Cork had the same degree of erosion of their teeth as those from non-fluoridated areas.

The report concluded, “no statistical difference existed between the fluoridated and non-fluoridated groups”. The amount of soft drinks a child consumed was also a factor with the higher levels of erosion in children who drank carbonated drinks once per day or more.

Rudolf Ziegelbecker, a scientist at the Environmental Research Centre, Graz (Austria) until he retired in 1990 declared in an open letter that the benefits the Medial Research Council conclude from the Working Group Report “Water fluoridation and Health” are false. He further states, “There is no valid scientific evidence for benefits”.

In his opinion dental and medical organisations in the UK as well as the USA, including public health officials, have ignored the scientific critique and censored publications, which criticised water fluoridation and other methods of fluoridation since 1971.

He further alleged that public health delegates, instructed by dentists’ fluoride experts of several countries, reported “benefits” of fluoridation, which do not exist.

The Great Council of the Swiss Canton Basel-Stadt has, on April 9, 2003, on a motion brought forward by the Commission for Health and Social Issues, totally repealed the "Resolution of the Great Council concerning the introduction of fluoridation of drinking water for the control of caries". The fluoridation of drinking water initiated by Basel-Stadt on May 2, 1962 was thus stopped after 41 years.

The reasons that were given were:

  • The preventive effect of the fluoridation of drinking water could not be proved by any study. When specialists do not succeed in producing definite proof in 40 years, the issue has to be abandoned.
  • Inspite of the fluoridation of drinking water caries has been on the increase with children.
  • The danger of fluorosis is played down, nobody talks about fluorosis of the bones. The fluoridation of drinking water is particularly problematic in the case of young children and babies.
  • Less than 1% of the fluoride in drinking water is actually used for "prevention of caries", more than 99% of the fluoridated water is used for washing, cleaning, industrial production etc. and thus only pollutes the environment, a very undesirable imbalance.

New research of bone cancer figures has shown a 40% elevated rate in Republic of Ireland (fluoridated) compared to Northern Ireland (unfluoridated). The bone cancer in question called osteosarcoma is one of the most prevalent cancers in young males, aged 9-20. There are both animal and human studies linking osteosarcoma and water fluoridation/fluoride clastogenic activity of sodium fluoride to rat vertebral body-derived cells in culture. One study in 1992, in the United States, indicated that in three counties of New Jersey there was nearly 7 times the osteosarcoma rate in young males in the fluoridated communities compared to the non-fluoridated communities.

In 1983, Lord Jauncey declared fluoridation unlawful after the case of Mrs C McColl v. Strathclyde Regional Council. The government sought to legalise fluoridation via the Water (Fluoridation) Act as the West Midlands and the North East had been unlawfully fluoridated for over 20 years. (Hansard reported the debates in the House of Commons showing a final vote of 399 abstentions – hardly an endorsement of fluoridation!

Phyllis J Mullenix PhD was sacked for publishing her work on the effects of fluoride on the central nervous system. Her work has subsequently been confirmed by scientists in China in 1995 and in 1996, also her predictions were confirmed by Varner et al. in 1998.

According to Rhone Poulenc’s Safety Data Sheet for Hexafluorsalicic Acid they say “Do not let this chemical enter the environment. Dispose of this product as hazardous waste. Consult the supplier as see if he will take it back”.

In a Motion passed by Bradford City Council on July 1st 2003 the fluoride added to drinking water was described as follows:

The fluoride added to water supplies is hezaflurosilicic acid. It is a toxic and corrosive industrial waste by-product derived from the scrubbings of the factory chimneys of the super-phosphate fertiliser industry. Fluorides are medically categorised as protoplasmic poisons and they are used in commercial rat poisons. It is more toxic than lead and only marginally less poisonous than arsenic, and we all know about the efforts to remove lead from drinking water supplies over the last century. Worse still, the hexafluorosilicic acid used is not a pure compound of medical quality but is itself contaminated with other poisons such as arsenic and cancer-causing heavy metals like cadmium and even mercury. The US Environmental Protection Agency has recently admitted that it doesn't fully understand what happens to fluoride when it is added to drinking water.

Fluoride is in Bottled Water

Most people dont realise that bottled water is only filtered tap water in most cases and as fluoride is not removed under normal filtration processes, most bottled water contains fluoride. Bottled water also poses an environmental nightmare to say the least. The most environmentally friendly way to filter your water is using a Carahealth Gravity Fed Water Filter that uses no electricity ever and leaves the healthful minerals in.

If you dont like this try a Carahealth Eco Water Filter the most environmentally friendly answer to filtering water.
